Some great fencing yesterday by all our fencers at the EMBIJ – some really tough fights and they should also all be proud of how they kept going when things weren’t going their way. Well done to all 5 fencers representing our club!
We also came away with some medals, so particular congratulations to Alexander (ðŸĨˆ junior sabre), Archie (ðŸĨ‰ U13 epee) and Francisco (ðŸĨ‰ junior sabre).
For fencers under 18 as of January 1st 2023, the next competition will be the BYC qualifiers on 29/1/23 at the same venue in Nottingham – this is to represent East Midlands in the national British Youth Championships (categories for each weapon are U12, U14, U16 and U18).
For fencers who’ll be 13 or older as of January 1st 2023, we also have the Mercia Novice Open on 19/2/23 here in Derby – this is a great first-time competition potentially against fencers from anywhere else in the UK.
